        Allows the Authority to support, through grants and
        project funding, programs of DLNR which protect,
        preserve, and promote Hawaii's natural resources.

HB 1909    RELATING TO PUBLIC LANDS                   TSM/WLU,FIN
        Authorizes the department of land and natural
        resources to issue new leases to the existing Banyan
        Drive lessees, subject to certain conditions.(Chang)

HB 1967    RELATING TO THE TRANSIENT ACCOMMODATIONS TAX   TSM,FIN
        Transfers the TAT functions to the counties.(Herkes)

HB 2670    RELATING TO TRANSIENT ACCOMMODATIONS TAX       TSM,FIN
        Reduces the amount of transient accommodations revenue
        distributed to the Hawaii tourism authority from 37.9%
        to 6%.  Increases amount distributed to counties from
        44.8% to 76.7%.(Say)

HB 2927    RELATING TO TRANSIENT ACCOMMODATIONS TAX       TSM,FIN
        Redistributes the TAT with a larger share to the
        counties.(Say)

HB 2358    RELATING TO THE CONVENTION CENTER          TSM,LAB/FIN
        Provides for the privatization of the convention
        center's debt of any fund.  No later than twenty
        service through competitive contracting between the
        private sector, the department of business, economic
        development, and tourism, the convention center
        authority, and other governmental entities.  Extends
        the convention center authority to 6/30/2001.(Chang)

HB 1780    RELATING TO THE CONVENTION CENTER                  TSM
        Extends the sunset date of the convention center
        authority.(Chang)
